Welcome All to McGarrah Elementary School,
It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of McGarrah Elementary School and to join this one of a kind school community. I can assure you that I share in this school community’s commitment to caring for your children each and every day while providing them a world-class learning environment.
As your principal, I look forward each day to building strong relationships with all of our wonderful students, families, teachers and talented staff. High expectations, which have been established by Clayton County Public Schools and our qualified and dedicated staff, will be maintained while also providing a safe and nurturing student-centered community that fosters respect for individual differences.
Please know here at McGarrah our goal (parents) is to grow your child academically and socially. We will be digging deep in understanding the whole child, therefore your child reaches his or her full potential. Our teachers are eager to meet their new students and begin this year’s journey with them. We want to ensure student proficiency in core academic subjects, so we will continue to refine Tier I instruction, analyze data, conduct observations, and review classwork to guide instruction and intervention. In addition, we will be integrating social emotional learning practices throughout the school year, therefore students are aware of their whole being.
I am excited about working with the active and involved parents that help to make McGarrah Elementary a wonderful place for our students to learn and grow.
I look forward to doing whatever I can to support their efforts and encourage you to become a member of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Volunteering and participating at various events throughout the school year will also benefit not only your child, but all of the children and staff of McGarrah Elementary School.
