Mrs. Midgett-Brown's Class

About Me!!!
I am from New Orleans, Louisiana and I am married to my high school sweetheart. I have five kids ages 21, 19, 17, 12, and 9. I love to read daily. I taught college( Louisiana Technical College/Delgado Community College )and elementary( McGarrah Elementary) . I love teaching!!! I graduated from The University of New Orleans with a BS in Biology, I received my masters of Education from The University of Phoenix and my Education Specialists Degree  from the University of Phoenix. I was McGarrah Elementary Teacher of the Year  for the 2017-2018 school year( such a wonderful experience and privilege).

Reminders

1.  Please remember to download and join our class in Class Dojo and check it daily.
2.  Please ensure that your child is reading nightly and completing all assigned          
homework.
3.  Make sure your child comes to school each and everyday!
4. Make sure that when your child is absent, that he/she bring in a notice and complete any missed assignments.
5. Please make sure that you notify the front office of transportation changes no later than 1:00 pm daily if transportation  change is going to be made during the day and you can send a note to school for the day that transportation changes occur. 

Classroom Rules:

1. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself

2. Respect other’s property and space.

3. Be a good listener and raise your hand to be called on to speak.

4. Follow directions the first time.

5. Make smart choices.

Discipline Procedures:

Please speak to the student in the hallway. If the behavior stays the same, ask Heath if she can speak to the students and for the student to sit in her room for 10 minutes. Students are to line up in the 4s format:

7:15-7:40- Morning Work (Homeroom Class)

7:40- 7:45-Transition

7:45-9:45-Math (Ms. Heaths homeroom class)

9:45-10-25- Specials

10:25-10:55- Math (Ms. Heath’s HR class)

10:55-11:30 – Science ( Ms. Heath’s HR class)

11:30- Transition

11:30-12:25- Math- (Midgett-Brown’s homeroom class)

12:25-12:55 lunch

12:55-1:30 – Math( Midgett-Brown’s homeroom class)

1:35-2:15 Science ( Midgett-Brown’s homeroom class)

2:15 –Dismissal
